Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced Housing Services Manager in Northampton on an initial 3-month contract. You will oversee tenancy management, rent collection, estate services and tenant engagement, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused services.

The role requires extensive social housing management experience, leadership of teams, and strong knowledge of housing legislation and enforcement. An on-call rota and driving licence are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in social housing management, ideally within a local authority or registered housing provider.
• Experience managing staff teams with leadership and change management skills.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy enforcement and rent arrears recovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage housing management teams, tenancy and leasehold management, estate services, rent collection and enforcement.
• Drive service performance, meet regulatory standards and customer satisfaction targets.
• Oversee complex tenancy matters including anti-social behaviour and safeguarding.
• Manage housing income services and monitor budgets and performance indicators.
• Collaborate with senior management and external partners to develop housing strategies and service improvements.
