Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced Housing Services Manager to lead and transform housing management. You will shape strategies, drive performance and deliver high-quality services across tenancy management, income collection, estate services and tenant engagement.

You will work closely with the Head of Housing Management to provide visible leadership, ensure regulatory compliance and deliver continuous improvement in a fast-paced, complex public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• CIH membership or willingness to work towards professional accreditation.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Substantial management experience within housing or a related public service environment.
• Experience leading teams within a local authority or similar housing organisation.
• Proven track record of delivering housing services within a regulated social housing environment.
• Demonstrable experience of leading service improvement, performance management and organisational change.

Responsibilities

• Drive a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across housing services.
• Lead service improvement initiatives and deliver measurable improvements in team performance and resident outcomes.
• Provide visible leadership and management oversight within a complex operational environment.
• Use performance data and customer insight to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Support delivery of the Council's wider housing transformation and improvement agenda.
• Provide assurance on compliance with housing legislation, consumer regulation and service standards.
• Work collaboratively across services and with elected Members to deliver strategic housing objectives.
