Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking a Housing Management Lead to oversee a team delivering tenancy, leasehold, estate and income management services in a on-site, council/registered provider environment. You will drive rent collection, compliance and service improvements while supporting vulnerable residents to sustain tenancies.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and a track record in housing regulation and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong housing management experience, ideally within a Local Authority or Registered Provider.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, regulation and case law.
• Experience managing budgets and improving service performance.
• Strong understanding of tenancy, estate and income management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and report-writing skills.
• Strong customer-focused and solution-driven approach.
• Experience managing change and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the Housing Management Team.
• Oversee tenancy, leasehold, estate and income management services.
• Manage rent collection, arrears and debt recovery.
• Oversee tenancy enforcement, ASB and complex housing cases.
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation, regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Support vulnerable residents to sustain their tenancies.
• Lead tenant engagement and consultation activities.
• Monitor performance, budgets and service standards.
• Develop and implement housing strategies, policies and improvement plans.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver joined-up services.
• Deputise for the Head of Housing Management when required.
• Participate in the out-of-hours housing on-call rota.
