Job summary

Crawley Borough Council is seeking an experienced Housing Options Team Leader (Accommodation) to lead our temporary accommodation service and drive high‑quality homelessness services. You will manage and develop a team, ensure statutory duties are met and oversee suitable temporary accommodation for residents.

We are looking for a confident, resilient leader with in‑depth homelessness legislation knowledge, excellent people management skills and a focus on customer‑centred service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing and developing a busy team.
• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation, case law and statutory duties.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience of working to challenging targets and deadlines.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the temporary accommodation service and drive service improvements.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing team to meet statutory duties.
• Oversee provision of suitable temporary accommodation for residents.
• Support cross‑Housing Services and contribute to complex decision‑making.
• Manage performance and shape future development of the service.
