Job summary

Epsom & Ewell Borough Council in Surrey is seeking a motivated Housing Options team lead to deliver a robust homelessness prevention and housing options service. You will drive proactive interventions, manage case work, and ensure high-quality decision-making for residents at risk of homelessness.

The role reports to the Strategic Housing Manager, leads eight officers, and requires strong knowledge of housing legislation and case law to ensure a legally compliant service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in a Local Housing Authority.
• Good understanding of housing legislation and case law.
• Ability to lead a Housing Options team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Housing Options team of 8 officers.
• Ensure applications are taken, investigated, and determined under housing legislation.
• Liaise with Independent Review Service, Legal Services and Housing Options Officers; monitor deadlines and procedures.
