Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council in Hamilton is recruiting a Housing Officer to join the Hamilton Housing Team on two temporary posts, each 35 hours per week. The role involves delivering a wide range of housing services to customers, managing homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and dealing with anti-social behaviour.

You should have experience in housing, excellent IT skills, and strong communication and organisational abilities to prioritise workload in a changing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing-related environment and homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery, and dealing with anti-social behaviour.
• Strong IT skills and ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with a range of external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of housing services to customers.
• Manage own caseload in a reactive role.
• Work within the Housing Services team to meet performance targets.
