Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council in Hamilton is recruiting a Housing Officer to deliver a wide range of housing services to customers in a housing-related environment. The role requires knowledge of homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and anti-social behaviour, with strong IT and prioritisation skills.

The two temporary posts run for end dates in January 2027 and March 2027, with standard hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a housing related environment.
• Understanding of homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and anti-social behaviour.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of housing services to customers.
• Liaise effectively with a variety of agencies.
• Carry out duties as assigned within Housing Services.
