Karter Thomas Ltd on behalf of a charitable housing association is recruiting an experienced Housing Officer. The role covers estate and tenancy management across a patch in Cambridgeshire, requiring hands-on approach and the ability to work independently from day one.

You will engage with residents, colleagues and external agencies to resolve tenancy and neighbourhood issues, carry out visits, inspections and ensure residents meet tenancy requirements, while promoting a responsive, professional

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management or tenancy management.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a caseload.

Responsabilités

• Managing a patch of properties across the local region and carrying out home visits.
• Providing a visible and responsive housing management service to residents.
• Carrying out tenancy visits, estate inspections and other neighbourhood-based activities.
• Building positive relationships with residents and supporting them to sustain their tenancies.
• Managing anti‑social behaviour cases and taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
• Working proactively to maximise rental and service charge income.
• Ensuring residents meet the terms and conditions of their tenancy agreements.
• Working with internal colleagues, local authorities and other partner agencies to resolve complex housing issues.
• Identifying and addressing estate and neighbourhood management issues.
• Managing your own workload and caseload effectively, prioritising more urgent or complex cases.
• Providing a professional, customer-focused service while balancing the needs of individual residents and the wider community.
