Job summary

Insight Executive Group is recruiting an experienced Housing Officer to join a local authority housing team in Northampton. This temporary, full-time role is site based and manages a portfolio of properties and tenants, ensuring tenancy and estate management issues are dealt with promptly and in line with policy and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Managing a designated patch of properties and tenancies.

• Taking appropriate action in relation to rent arrears and tenancy enforcement.
• Working closely with tenants to prevent tenancy failure and homelessness.
• Investigating complaints and responding to customer enquiries.
• Liaising with internal teams, contractors and external agencies.
• Identifying safeguarding concerns and making appropriate referrals.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.
• Taking appropriate enforcement action where required.

The Role

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within a social housing, local authority or housing association environment.
