Job summary

RG Setsquare is recruiting an experienced Housing Officer to support residents across Exeter. You will manage tenancies, respond to queries, carry out sign-ups and visits, and help maintain safe, well-kept estates.

You should have social housing or tenancy management experience, strong customer service, CIH Level 4 or willingness to work towards it, a full UK driving licence, and be prepared for an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing, tenancy management or estate management.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
• CIH Level 4 qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of tenancies, providing guidance and support to residents.
• Respond to tenancy enquiries, permissions requests and housing-related queries.
• Conduct tenancy sign-ups, viewings and tenancy visits.
• Investigate and manage tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding concerns.
• Monitor estate standards and work with contractors and internal teams to maintain high-quality living environments.
• Build strong relationships with residents, stakeholders and partner agencies.
• Deliver resident engagement activities and support community development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with tenancy agreements and housing policies.
• Maintain accurate records and case management information.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-established housing provider, supporting residents across the Exeter area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, building strong communities and making a positive impact within social housing.

As the primary point of contact for residents within your designated neighbourhood patch, you will be responsible for managing tenancy-related matters, supporting community engagement initiatives and ensuring neighbourhoods remain safe, welcoming and well-maintained.

• A proactive and solution-focused approach.
• CIH Level 4 qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

This role will also require an Enhanced DBS prior to employment.
