Job summary

Niyaa People in Devon is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to manage a patch of circa 400 properties, mainly in Dawlish, on a temporary basis. You will drive the tenancy and estate management service, delivering continuity for residents during the interim period.

The role requires strong tenancy/estate management, ability to handle nuisance and antisocial behaviour, and travel across locations with a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or in a similar housing management role.
• Strong practical experience in tenancy and estate management.
• Experience managing routine nuisance and antisocial behaviour cases.
• Ability to manage a substantial housing patch and prioritise competing demands.
• Proactive, organised approach and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering a professional service to residents.
• Full, valid driving licence and ability to travel between properties and other locations as required.
• Availability to start on 2 November 2026 and ideally commit to 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day tenancy management across a patch of approximately 400 properties.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure housing management issues are dealt with promptly and professionally.
• Support the delivery of a consistent, resident-focused housing management service throughout the assignment.

You will be responsible for managing a patch of approximately 400 residential properties, primarily based in Dawlish, with flexibility to provide cover across other areas of the organisation's housing stock as required. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident housing professional who can hit the ground running, deliver an effective tenancy management service and help maintain continuity for residents during this interim period.
