Job summary

Home Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated team member to help ensure that customers’ homes are safe and well maintained. You’ll provide housing management services, assist tenants with tenancy and rent accounts, and help them progress toward secure, long-term accommodation.

You’ll perform routine safety checks, assist with housing benefit claims, and work to turn around vacant properties efficiently.

Qualifications

This is a great opportunity to join our team. You’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!

What You’ll Do

• Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
• Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
• To support the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales. This will involve picking up a broom or paint brush!
• You’ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure we’re compliant.
• You’ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done

You have

• A background in property management, but that’s not a deal breaker! Perhaps you’ve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
• A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
• The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
• Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners
• Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

The practical bits

• The role will be full‑time, working across two of our services located in Silloth and Wigton.
• The candidate will travel to our Centenary Close scheme in Maryport once a week to carry out health and safety checks
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
• To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
