East Riding is seeking a part-time Housing Management Officer to join the Housing Team. The role involves managing properties in a defined area, allocating homes, and delivering housing options guidance.
You will handle tenancy management, respond to anti-social behaviour, assess vulnerability, and work with multi-agency partners when needed. The post is based at Bridlington Town Hall and offers blended home/office working arrangements.
We have an opportunity for a part-time Housing Management Officer to join our Housing Team. This is a varied role within a well-established and supportive team, where no two days are the same.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of properties within a defined geographical area. Key duties include the allocation of properties in line with the Council’s allocations policy, general estate and tenancy management, and the provision of housing options advice.
The successful candidate will be required to manage all aspects of tenancy management, including responding to reports of anti-social behaviour relating to Council-owned and managed properties. This will involve assessing vulnerability, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to resolve issues, and taking enforcement action where appropriate.
The role also includes engaging with residents on the allocated patch, arranging estate walkabouts, attending resident meetings, and encouraging feedback to support continuous improvement in the services we deliver.
The post will be based at Bridlington Town Hall. However, the Council anticipates that the successful candidate will work in a blended way, combining home working, working from other centres, and office attendance. We are committed to offering flexibility where this benefits both residents and staff.
