Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living in Basildon is recruiting a Housing Support Assistant to oversee day-to-day operations across our housing schemes at Phoenix House. You will be the first point of contact for tenants and help maintain tenancy sustainability through responsive support and proactive checks.

You will travel between sites, manage property records, and work with colleagues to provide practical help, from health and safety checks to keeping supplies updated.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering tenancy services
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to GCSE Grade C in English and Maths
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant area
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Experience using housing management systems is desirable
  • Full valid driving licence and ability to travel between schemes

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day running of the supported housing service to deliver effective housing management
  • Be first contact for tenants and respond to queries to sustain tenancy
  • Travel to different properties to complete weekly/monthly health and safety checks
  • Maintain property files to evidence compliance
  • Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders

Your role
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the supported housing service to deliver an effective housing management service
  • Be the first point of contact for tenants living in supported living and respond to queries to enable tenancy sustainment

    Travel to different supported living properties within your patch to complete required weekly and monthly Health & Safety checks

  • Be responsible for maintaining property files to evidence compliance

  • Manage supplies, furniture and equipment and keep records and filing systems up to date
Your skills
