Job summary

The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere, part of The Inn Collection Group, is preparing to open and hire for its housekeeping team. As a Housekeeping Supervisor you’ll lead a small team, maintain high cleanliness standards, and support the Head Housekeeper.

With 55 bedrooms and multiple dining covers, you will manage room and public area cleaning, report issues, train staff, and coordinate with the General Manager to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping supervision preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms to high standards and ensure public areas are welcoming.
• Promptly report maintenance issues and coordinate with engineering.
• Manage linen, towels and room supplies stock for the team.
• Train and develop team members; provide updates to the General Manager.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of the team, deputising in the absence of the Head Housekeeper while maintaining a friendly, detail-oriented approach. You’ll take pride in your work, remain calm under pressure, exceed guest expectations by responding effectively to requests.

Your duties will include cleaning rooms to our high standards, ensuring public areas are clean and welcoming, promptly reporting maintenance issues, and following safety guidelines. You’ll work closely with the team to create memorable visits, manage stocks of linen, towels, and room supplies, and train new and existing team members. Providing updates to the General Manager will be part of your role, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
