Job summary

The Northallerton Inn, part of The Inn Collection Group, is seeking a proactive Head Housekeeper to maintain a spotless, welcoming environment. You will lead the housekeeping team, oversee cleaning across rooms and public areas, and ensure exceptional guest service at all times.

You will report to the General Manager, train staff, manage linen and supplies, and uphold safety standards to ensure smooth operations and memorable stays for guests.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Ability to lead by example and guide a team to high standards.
• Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of rooms and public areas to maintain a spotless, welcoming environment.
• Promptly report maintenance issues and coordinate with the General Manager.
• Manage linen and supplies, monitor stock levels, and train new and existing staff.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance across the housekeeping team.
• Provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
