Job summary

Westmorland Hotel in Penrith, United Kingdom, is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Team Leader to guide our team of housekeepers and uphold our high standards, ensuring guests feel special on every stay.

You will work hands-on alongside your team to manage workflows, supervise room cleaning across 50 bedrooms and public areas, and coach colleagues to reach required timelines and quality. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Job description

You will lead our team of Housekeepers to ensure we meet our own high standards and make sure we exceed our guests expectations every time they stop with us. The team maintain our 50 bedrooms and guest areas, attending to all the small details to make sure each guests feels special. You will be hands on working alongside your team to ensure they are working to the required timescales and at the highest of standards.

Your responsibilities will include;

• Running reports from our online booking system and distributing workflow amongst the team
• Working alongside them to ensure all rooms are cleaned to the required standard.
• Vacuuming, dusting and cleaning bathrooms and bedroomsmaking sure all our rooms and guest areas are clean, tidy and restocked ready for new guests.
• Completing room checks at the end of each shift and coaching colleagues accordingly if rooms are not at the correct standard.
• Ordering bedroom products with our external suppliers e.g fudge, toiletries and tea.
• Reporting any maintenance work to the necessary team and following up any unresolved issues.

Experience of a similar role would be an advantage but you must be able to prioritise and delegate and have basic IT skills. You should also have good attention to detail.
