Job summary

Aldwark Manor Estate in a picturesque setting between York and Harrogate is seeking an experienced Assistant Head Housekeeper to support the housekeeping operation and leadership of the team. You will help maintain the property to the 4 Silver Star AA standard and oversee guest rooms and public areas in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.

The role offers full-time hours, a structured environment, and opportunities for development within a private hotel and golf estate.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the hotel, with the supervision and inspection of all guest rooms and areas.
• To be fully aware of all hotel services and activities.
• To allocate areas of cleaning on a daily basis fairly, in accordance with hotel procedures and hotel business.
• To be fully aware of linen procedures and assist with linen stocktakes as required.
• To ensure the correct use of cleaning agents on all surfaces.
• To assist with the periodic cleaning of areas as requested.
• To be fully aware of, and strictly adhere to, security procedures laid down by the hotel and company. This to include keys, stock and property.
• To record and report all faults and damage arising to Maintenance.
• To ensure all housekeeping equipment is used safely and effectively.
• To ensure on all occasions you observe safe and hygienic working practices in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation.
• To assist with the housekeeping operation as necessary, i.e. servicing of guest rooms etc.
• To record, report and process lost property according to hotel procedures.
• To assist with the training of team members
• To be fully aware of and adhere to Health and Safety and fire procedures
• To be fully aware of and comply with hotel and company rules and regulations as identified in the team member handbook.

• Organisation and thoroughness: preparing bedrooms in the minimum length of time whilst respecting internal hotel procedures

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.

Over the last few years, the Hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar and all public areas. This year we will starting our new and opulent spa and state-of-the-art leisure areas as well as our new meeting rooms and additional 17 bedrooms. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivatedAssistant Head Housekeeper to join our team at Aldwark Manor Estate. This position is pivotal in supporting the housekeeping operation along with the Head Housekeeper, ensuring we maintain our 4 Silver Star AA rating and guest satisfaction in our rooms and public areas supporting and managing the housekeeping team in the absence of the Head Housekeeper

Purpose of the role:

To ensure thew smooth running of the housekeeping department with the Housekeeping Manager / Rooms Division Manager
