Job summary

Westmorland Hotel in Penrith is seeking a friendly night-shift host to welcome late arriving guests and ensure they have everything they need before settling in, or assist with early departures.

You will take sole responsibility for the hotel from 11pm to 7am, juggling a range of tasks including security checks, bar service and basic food preparation, with training provided to support you.

Qualifications

• No experience required, but we are looking for a good communicator who is IT literate and happy to be trained across a variety of tasks. You should also be able to use initiative to solve problems and keep calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Complete 3 security walk around within the shift to ensure the building is secure
• To complete daily cleaning tasks in-line with the daily check sheet
• To learn the basics of the hotel reservations system, to enable you to check in, check out and print guest bills
• Bar service
• Basic food preparation (soup & sandwiches) and service
• Complete First Aid and Fire training to enable you to deal with emergencies
