Job summary

Hastings Hotels is hiring a Housekeeping Attendant for the Stormont Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland. You will clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas, on a rota basis with a flexible shifts pattern.

Casual rate of pay ranges from £9.55 to £12.75 per hour, with benefits including complimentary meals, staff discounts, free parking at selected sites, and holiday entitlement that increases with service.

Qualifications

Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Ability to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service.

Responsibilities

To clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel.
To ensure all equipment and materials are used correctly and report problems.
To maintain the security of bedrooms and stock and report breaches.
To work with colleagues to ensure a harmonious environment with respect and dignity.
To be knowledgeable about hotel offerings and promote them to guests.
Greeting guests and responding to queries.
To ensure guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
To comply with health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
Any other duties as required by management.

About the role

To ensure that all housekeeping areas within the hotel are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.

To clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel. Typical tasks include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets, stripping and making beds.
To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
To always maintain the security of bedrooms and stock, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.
To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
Any other duties as required by management.
