Job summary

Hastings Hotels’ Everglades Hotel in Northern Ireland is seeking a reliable Kitchen Steward to help maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas.

No formal experience is required as full training is provided; you’ll join a friendly team under our Head Chef. Typical shifts run 7am–3pm or 3pm–11pm, with weekends. The pay rate is £9.55–£12.75 per hour, depending on age, plus staff meals and discounts.

• Good Command of English

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots and pans; load/unload dishwasher and clean bins.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, walls, fridges and floors.
• Ensure equipment and materials are used correctly and report any problems.
• Maintain stock area security and report breaches.
• Work with colleagues to maintain a respectful, harmonious environment.
• Comply with health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Undertake any other duties as required by management.

About the role

To ensure that all Kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard of Cleanliness and Hygiene.

• To keep all kitchen areas clean. Typical tasks include washing dishes, pots, pans, loading and unloading the dish washer, emptying, and cleaning bins.

• Maintaining the cleanliness of dishwashing areas including walls, fridges, and mopping floors.

• To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.

• To always maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing.

• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

• To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

• Any other duties as required by management.

About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Kitchen Team will provide you with full training.
