Job description

As a Housekeeping Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the heart of everything you do. It's what shapes our care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist homes. Our Residents are people with rich lives and personal stories. By joining HC-One, you'll help give something back – through care, respect, and attention to detail. You'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming home. Your work will make a real difference every day.

Key responsibilities
  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas
  • Following cleaning schedules and tasks set by the team lead
  • Using products safely and following hygiene procedures
  • Supporting infection control and safety standards
  • Helping with laundry and linen care
  • Reporting any issues or repairs as needed

You will take pride in your work and keep everything spotless. Whether you are ticking off tasks or jumping in to lend a hand, you will do it with care and compassion. Some housekeeping experience is helpful, but full training is provided. You must be organised, manage your time well, and work with attention to detail. Most of all, you will bring a positive attitude and be kind and respectful in every conversation – with Residents, visitors, and your team.

All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, so it is important that you recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns.

We provide full training, so it's a great opportunity to learn something new.
