Job description

Due to our promise of promoting career progression within Practice Plus Group, we have a new opportunity for a Housekeeper Team Lead to join and be part of the multi-disciplined team here at our Treatment Centre in Devizes.

About the role

Working in line with clearly defined standards which comply with national policies and company procedures, the Housekeeper Team Lead will be responsible for leading and supervising the housekeeping team, ensuring that a high standard of cleaning is maintained throughout the hospital.

This is a part-time position (30 hpw)

Working hours: 14:00 to 20:00, Monday and Friday, with occasional Saturdays

Main duties of the job

1. Manage the housekeeping team, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to required standards.
2. Monitor team performance, address issues, and conduct performance reviews and 121s.
3. Train new staff, ensuring competence in the use of products and equipment.
4. Ensure all hospital areas are cleaned according to specific requirements.
5. Maintain records for compliance and standards.
6. Identify and address potential hazards, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

About you

You should have experience leading a team in a cleaning or clinical environment, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to motivate others.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant experience in a supervisory cleaning role, preferably within healthcare or a similar setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
