Knowledge of the locality

Job description

We are recruiting for a Hotel Receptionist.Our successful hotel receptionist will be responsible for welcoming guests and acting as their first point of contact. Our Receptionist will check-in guests advising them of the hotel facilities and acting as an ambassador for Killyhevlin, logging issues and/or requests and passing them to the correct member of staff and following up that the task was completed.Our Front Office staff work together as a strong team, liaising with the other hotel departments and providing our guests with memorable stay and ensuring our guests book again for their return visit on check-out.

Responsibilities
  • Checking in and checking out guests and allocating rooms and self-catering.
  • Providing excellent customer care.
  • Professionally deal with guest requests, enquiries and problems.
  • Switchboard, email, typing correspondence and general office duties including keeping office areas clean and tidy at all times.
  • Guest accounts, billing and lodgements.
  • Cashier, reservations, sales, recommendations.
  • Health and safety in the work place.
  • Other duties that may arise in the course of a shift within the capabilities of staff.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Good Standard of education: GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade B or higher in both subjects.
  • ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in reception/office and business skills.
  • Previous employment within a customer service industry.
  • Experience of working shifts and weekends (flexibility is required to offer great customer service).
  • Experience of working within a team (excellent timekeeping essential to provide great customer service & teamwork).
  • Knowledge of the locality to provide our guests with a great experience of Fermanagh.
  • Permitted to legally live & work in Northern Ireland/UK (evidence of immigration status & right to work with ID) Share Code.
  • Must have a National Insurance Number, Bank or Savings Account and current (in date) photographic ID (passport).
  • Experience of computerised room management system.
  • Experience of food and beverage service.
  • Experience of housekeeping service.
