Job summary

Dakota in Manchester is seeking a friendly Receptionist with strong administration and guest-service skills to welcome guests, manage check-in/out, handle reservations, and assist in delivering items to rooms.

The successful candidate will have at least two years in hospitality, preferably in hotels, be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work flexible shifts, including peak periods; full computer literacy is required, with knowledge of a property management system desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in hospitality, preferably in a hotel.
• Strong administrator capable of prioritising and working at pace.
• Experience in 4* and 5* hotels preferred.
• Great communicator and a genuine people person.
• Flexible shifts and presence during peak times.
• Fully computer literate; knowledge of a property management system desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to Dakota, check in/out, handle ad hoc requests, make reservations, light housekeeping, and guest billing.
• Provide high level of guest service in line with service principles and values.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Front Office computer systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure excellent communication and proactive assistance.
• Offer additional services such as restaurant reservations, directions, and delivering items to rooms.
