Job summary

Dakota Hotels in Manchester is seeking a genuine people person for a Receptionist role. You will welcome guests, check in/out, handle bookings, and assist amid a busy front office, delivering consistent service with a positive attitude.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in hospitality, strong administrative skills, and a friendly, proactive approach. You will work with other departments, use the Front Office system, and contribute to a culture of positivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years working experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong administrator with the ability to prioritise and work at pace.
• Experience working in 4* and 5* hotels is strongly preferred
• Great communicator and a genuine people person
• Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role, available to work flexible shifts and present in the business during peak times
• Fully computer literate. A knowledge of a property management system is desirable however full training will be given
• An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
• Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
• Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, check in and out, and manage reservations.
• Provide high levels of guest service in line with our service principles.
• Maintain knowledge of the Front Office computer systems.
• Work with other departments to ensure excellent communication.
• Offer services to enhance the guest experience (e.g. dining bookings, directions, delivering items to rooms).
