Job summary

Hostelling Scotland is seeking a dedicated Hostel Assistant to support busy youth hostels across Scotland. You will deliver front-line guest service, manage arrivals, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors exploring Scotland's cities, islands, beaches, hills and mountains.

You will be adaptable as workloads change and work as part of a team, with responsibilities including reception, enquiries, cleaning, housekeeping and light catering. Travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Reception duties and customer service.
• Check-in/out and basic housekeeping duties.
• Adaptable and good communication in a team.

Responsibilities

• Full reception service including check-in and check-out.
• Handle customer enquiries and assist guests on arrival.
• Cleaning, housekeeping and basic catering duties.
• Support and respect colleagues; teamwork across locations.
