Job summary

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure that guests’ needs and requests are efficiently and effectively addressed
• Provide excellent service by being attentive to guests’ needs at every point on their customer journey
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and a safe, inclusive working environment
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers
• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas; manage waste disposal
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure equipment is in good working order to comply with health and safety
