BaxterStorey is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support a busy kitchen environment. You will wash and sanitise surfaces, assist with basic food prep, and help maintain stock and hygiene across the kitchen.

Qualifications

• No formal education required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or with industrial dishwashers.
• Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise surfaces, countertops and prep areas; manage waste.
• Food Preparation – Assist chefs with basic tasks like peeling, chopping and slicing.
• Inventory Management – Receive, store and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Compliance with Health and Safety – Maintain cleanliness and ensure equipment works properly.
