Job summary

RAD Hotel Group is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our Head Office HR team in Scotland. The role is full-time, based at our Head Office in Cumnock, with regular travel to hotel locations across the group, providing hands-on HR support and guidance across the employee lifecycle.

You will support managers with employee relations, absence, performance, onboarding, and policy implementation, ensuring fair and compliant processes in line with UK employment legislation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as HR Advisor or generalist HR role.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and professional HR advice to managers across the group.
• Support managers with employee relations matters including absence, conduct, and grievances.
• Guide managers through HR processes to ensure fair, consistent handling.
• Attend and support formal employee meetings as required.
• Assist absence management and support long- and short-term absence.
• Advise and coach managers on effective people management and HR best practice.
• Support onboarding, probation reviews, performance management and development.
• Prepare HR documentation and maintain records.
• Contribute to development and review of HR policies and procedures.
• Build strong relationships with General Managers and hotel teams.
• Provide on-site HR support and maintain a visible HR presence.
• Monitor HR activity and produce reports/KPIs to identify trends.
• Maintain accurate HR records and systems.
• Support succession planning and internal progression opportunities.
• Support learning and development initiatives.
• Assist organisational change and HR projects across the Group.
• Work with wider HR team to improve processes and employee experience.
