Job summary

The switchboard service supports Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary, essential to hospital operation. You will handle calls, ensure patients and staff reach the right numbers, and respond to emergencies with a calm, professional approach.

We provide training for Portering and non-patient transport desk duties from the switchboard area. The role involves a shift pattern including early/evenings/nights/weekends/bank holidays with unsocial hours enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Handle calls in a professional manner to route to the correct extension.
• Respond to emergency calls, alarm activations and incident procedures calmly.
