Job summary

Equans is seeking a Shift Maintenance Assistant for the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers a shift pattern of 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00, with a competitive salary and shift allowance.

You will support both planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, plumbing and fabric assets. You’ll work within a professional team to keep a safe, compliant hospital environment for patients, staff and visitors, while upholding

Qualifications

• Practical skills in basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, fabric repairs and basic electrical works.
• Experience in maintenance, facilities management or similar environment is advantageous.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills with English and Mathematics qualifications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, plumbing and fabric systems.
• Carry out basic servicing, repairs and fault finding within your competence and report defects.
• Complete duties safely, maintain records and RAMS in digital systems where required.
• Follow approved job plans, manufacturers’ instructions and trade standards.
