Job summary

EQUANS are seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our Pinderfields & Pontefract Hospital in Wakefield. The role involves maintaining lighting, water and heating systems, and minor repairs to building fabric, as part of the Technical Services team on site.

This permanent, part-time post operates 07:00-19:00 with a 4 days on / 4 days off pattern. A shift allowance may apply and a comprehensive benefits package is offered, including leave, life cover, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• GCSE/’O’ Level Maths and English required or equivalent.
• Prior general maintenance experience is beneficial.
• Previous similar role desirable.
• DBS clearance required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on lighting, water and heating services.
• Perform reactive repairs to building fabric such as plasterwork, floor coverings and tiles.
• Liaise with hospital staff and external contractors as required.
• Maintain records and complete service reports in line with HTM/QA requirements.
