Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Shift Electrician to join the Estates Shift Team at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. The role covers 24-hour on-site electrical and mechanical maintenance, with responsibilities across low voltage systems, generators, boilers and building services.

You will work with trades and contractors, respond to emergencies, perform preventative maintenance and support planned projects while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building electrical and mechanical systems across the hospital.
• Provide 24-hour on-site emergency cover and respond to incidents.
• Liaise with trades, contractors and fire/medical teams as required.
• Inspect and test electrical equipment, generators and LV systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and fault finding.
