Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join the Ward Services team in Medicines Management and Pharmacy Services. You will contribute to patient care on wards at St James's Hospital or Leeds General Infirmary, delivering safe, effective medicines optimisation and supporting transitions in care.

The role requires GPhC registration, Accuracy Checking qualification, and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Accredited Accuracy Checking qualification.
• Experience working within a hospital or primary care environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
• A commitment to medicines optimisation and supporting patients to use their medicines safely and effectively.
• Experience of supervising, training and supporting colleagues to develop their skills.
• A professional, accountable approach with a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a busy environment.
• Enthusiasm for service improvement, team working and contributing to the continued development of pharmacy services.
