Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Medicines Optimisation Team. The role supports inpatient services across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire, with the base at Savernake Community Hospital.

You will contribute to safe, cost-conscious medicines use and work within guidelines with a high degree of autonomy. The post involves responding to medication queries and collaborating with clinicians, nursing staff and patients to improve outcomes and efficiency

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician and working in medicines optimisation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support cost‑effective prescribing and medicines budget management.
• Assist with reducing medicines wastage and contribute to medicines management initiatives.
• Provide medicines-related advice to clinicians, nursing staff and patients; respond to daily medication queries with good communication.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to support inpatient medicines optimisation.
