Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a portering and facilities support role at St Margaret's Hospital. The post covers cleaning, portering, bed making and laundry across wards and admin areas on a part-time basis.

The role is 15 hours per week over Thursday and Friday, 07:00 to 15:30, with job-share options welcomed. Local applicants with the right to work in the UK are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house facilities services, including cleaning, portering, bed making and laundry, to an assigned area.
• Cover areas that may include in-patient wards, admin and clinical areas and retail outlets.
• Keep the environment clean and hygienic for patients, staff and visitors, in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
• Follow the job description, work schedules and instructions.
• Work flexibly across the facilities services, including unit-specific tasks where they apply.
• Prioritise and organise own duties using initiative.
