Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Facilities Management Assistant for Mid Essex. The role is band 2, paying £12.92 per hour and pro rata annualised to approximately £25,272, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

Shift pattern is 2pm–7pm, with days to be discussed at interview. You will be part of the FM team responsible for cleaning, catering, portering, bed making and laundering services across various areas.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning skills and reliability.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Flexible attitude and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas as per work schedules (toilets, corridors, offices, clinic rooms, store rooms, etc.).
• Participate in in-house FM services within a specified area (wards, admin/clinical areas, retail outlets).
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors in line with National Standards of Cleanliness.
• Demonstrate initiative, prioritise duties, and engage with colleagues in a supportive manner.
