Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Estates team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will support reactive and planned maintenance of hospital plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and trust procedures.

Qualifications

• Recognised and registered craft apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with hospital maintenance and ability to service, diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical plant.
• Ability to work within health and safety guidelines and risk assessments.

Responsabilités

• Carry out installation, repair, service and calibration work on complex building services and hospital plant.
• Support reactive and planned maintenance to ensure statutory compliance.
• Participate in on-call system and respond to out-of-hours emergencies.
• Liaise with management, nursing staff, and contractors to determine priority and actions.
• Carry out risk assessments and use test equipment for fault finding and diagnosis.
