Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Plumber to join our Estates and Facilities team at the hospital. You will perform planned maintenance and urgent repairs to keep the wards safe and functional.

Qualifications

• Recognised craft qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ level 3).
• Relevant technical qualification and willingness to participate in NHS training.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plumbing and plant.
• Attend emergency repairs as required, often unsupervised.
• Liaise with managers and contractors to coordinate works.
• Maintain records and reports of maintenance activities.
• Work in hazardous areas with safety procedures.
• Support project work and new equipment testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
