Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Aberdeen is seeking Installation Trainees to train as accredited home installation specialists within a 2-person delivery crew, driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle and delivering large items to customers' homes.

You will start from the delivery hub, load deliveries, install products, demonstrate operation, and stay safety-focused. The role requires heavy lifting, full-time 41 hours, Tue-Sat 07:00-17:00.

Qualifications

• Manual C1 UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• DCPC or Driver Qualification Card by day one.
• Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong verbal communication skills both on the phone and in person.
• Good understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Load deliveries with the warehouse team and drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate operation to customers.
• Handle unexpected situations to find best solutions for customers.
• Stay up to date with new products and maintain safety at all times.
• Spend time delivering large items such as sofas and white goods with heavy lifting involved.
