Job summary

SCA Care is seeking a Registered Manager for Southampton Home Care. This leadership role requires strong expertise in domiciliary care and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred services to our community in Southampton.

The role offers autonomy to grow the service with support from the SCiA Group. You will lead a care and office team, ensure regulatory compliance, drive service quality and develop partnerships with commissioners and families.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in domiciliary care or similar community-based service.
  • Experience leading, supervising or developing care teams.
  • Good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality standards.

REGISTERED MANAGER – HOME CARE
Location: Southampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm plus on-call rota (paid additionally)
Salary: £38,851.77 per annum (37.5 hours per week)

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a motivated, ambitious and commercially aware manager to lead, strengthen and grow our Southampton Home Care service.

You may already be an experienced Registered Manager, or you may be a Deputy Manager or Care Manager who is ready to take the next step in your career. What is important to us is finding someone with strong leadership skills, a good understanding of domiciliary care and a genuine passion for delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an established service with strong foundations, while having the autonomy and support to develop the team, strengthen quality and drive sustainable growth.

You will be supported to succeed while having the opportunity to make the service your own and play a key role in shaping its future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ABOUT YOU

We are interested in hearing from both established Registered Managers and experienced Deputy Managers/Care Managers who feel ready to progress into their first Registered Manager role.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Strong experience within domiciliary care or a similar community-based care service.
  • Experience leading, supervising or developing care teams.
  • A good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality standards.
  • The confidence to take ownership, make decisions and lead a service effectively.
  • A positive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • An interest in developing and growing a high-quality care service.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or be working towards/willing to undertake this.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Previous Registered Manager experience is welcomed but is not essential. We are equally interested in hearing from talented managers who can demonstrate that they are ready to take the next step.
