Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its patrol division. You’ll diagnose, repair, and support breakdowns on the roadside, covering local areas from home with a RAC van and full toolkit.

A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience is required, or 5+ years in a vehicle technician role, plus a full UK driving licence. You’ll enjoy a market-competitive base (£41,600 with London Weighting if applicable) and an attractive realistic OTE, with

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day at home and prioritise quick, confident solutions for members.
• Use provided tools, diagnostic kit, and RAC van to resolve faults on scene.
