Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician (Patrol) to join the Stockport cluster and cover local areas across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and assist members on the road with confidence and professionalism.

You’ll start and finish your day at home, travel to call-outs in your local area, and use a RAC van, full uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided. A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• And a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair.
• Conduct vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.

Education

5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence
