Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Vehicle Technician to perform expert roadside diagnostics and repairs across the UK. You will be dispatched to calls, starting and finishing from home, and focus on getting members back on the road quickly and safely.

You will carry out diagnostic checks, battery or tyre issues, and other faults with support from your RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and diagnostic tools. The role offers a hands-on, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on
• Operate with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit provided
