Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division in the UK. The role involves delivering expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, covering local areas with a drive-from-home start.

You’ll work around 40 hours per week with occasional overtime and a base salary of £36,400 plus performance-based bonuses. Ideal candidates hold an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic may be considered as alternative

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, safe solutions
• Deliver high-quality service while working on roadside calls across the UK
