Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and assist members across the UK, starting and finishing from home with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit.

Expect 40-hour weeks with demand-led shifts and overtime options. Required NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years in the trade, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years’ experience in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair across the UK.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Restore members’ mobility and provide confident, high-quality service.
