Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and assist RAC members across the UK. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years' experience, you’ll start and finish each day at home, handling demand-led shifts around 40 hours weekly.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit. The role offers a strong base pay of £36,400 with a realistic OTE around £60,000–£61,000, with

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on for our members.
