Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You will diagnose faults, carry out mechanical roadside repairs, and assist members across the UK, starting and finishing from home and operating with a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided.

You’ll manage demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week with potential overtime. A full UK driving licence with <6 points is required, andNVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 5+ years’ experience) is a key qualification.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
