Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to oversee induction and development training across a defined region. The role is home-based with travel to care homes and hospitals, supporting staff to deliver person-centred, compassionate care.

The successful candidate will coordinate training calendars, maintain staff files and observe practice to ensure alignment with Barchester standards. A passion for staff development and the ethos of care are essential.

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience in social care.
• Working knowledge of legislative requirements in care sector.
• 2 years training experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training across a regional group of homes/hospitals.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars.
• Ensure employee training files are up to date.
• Observe workplace practice and coach new staff.
• Arrange induction paperwork and buddy system for new employees.
